Set consists of locomotive B 360 with 2 sightseeing cars, tracks and battery box (for 2 LR6/AA batteries, not included) with switch (forward/backward/stop). Including a cut-out sheet with self-adhesive motifs for decorating the cars (e.g. as an adventure train, city or park railroad, Chemnitz park railrod, etc).
The functional train set is based on the original park railroad in Chemnitz (www.parkeisenbahn-chemnitz.de). Initially, the locomotive (mine railway locomotive B 360, built in 1985) was used with the personnel cars in the Hartenstein mining operation, the deepest mine in Europe at 1500 meters. After its decommission in 1994 it was donated to the Chemnitz park.
The park railroad is a narrow gauge railroad which is compatible with the Busch Feldbahn railroad (H0f), i.e. the same tracks and power supply can be used and the locomotives and wagons of both systems can be »coupled« together.
A built-in magnet in the locomotive and an integrated metal insert in the light rail tracks increase the contact pressure of the wheels on the rails. This ensures reliable contact and high pulling power for a smooth ride. The oval track has a space requirement of approx. 375 x 250 mm and consists of 8 curved tracks (radius 115 mm, 45°), 1 straight track 133,2 mm and 1 feeder track 133,2 mm. To operate the train, two 1.5 V Mignon batteries LR6/AA are required (not included) or a power supply unit with 3 V DC voltage. Since the locomotives only have a minimal power consumption, the batteries or rechargeable batteries last a very long time.
